Creating dashboard roles

Permissions for the Management Insights dashboard are role-based. Once the roles must be created, users can then be associated with a role.

Several Axiom Intelligence roles can be created to manage user permissions as needed. At a minimum, two roles must be added:

  • Axiom Dashboard Report Security Admin

  • Axiom Dashboard Report User

NOTE: These role names are examples; you can create your own role names for the Axiom Intelligence roles.

To create and populate the Axiom Dashboard Report Security Admin role:

  1. From the Axiom home page, use the Quick Launch tool to open the Excel Client.

Click image to view full size

  2. Select Manage > Security > Security Manager to open the Security Manager.

Click image to view full size

  3. Select Roles in the Security Manager and enter the security admin role name, such as Axiom Dashboard Report Security Admin.

NOTE: Subsystems are not supported for roles associated with Axiom Intelligence dashboards.

  4. Select the name of a user from the list and use the icon to add the user to the to the role.

NOTE: Persons added to the Axiom Dashboard Report Security Admin role must be Axiom administrators. You can use the administrator check box for any name you display. However, that individual will have admin rights throughout Axiom as well as dashboard admin rights.
